Emerging Women Filmmakers Incubator

The Incubator is a talent-focused development programme structured over five one-day workshops across a year. While directors come to the Incubator with a project, our main aim is to provide specific knowledge, skills, connections and inspiration to enable each participant to advance themselves and their careers.

> The 2022 call for applications is now open until Friday 18 February, 10AM.

“It was specifically curated to our needs and exceeded my expectations on every level. It was jam-packed with sessions, info and meetings with industry practitioners who could give us behind the scenes knowledge and equip us with real-time insight into the industry. It was relevant and challenging, and has been immensely beneficial to me in giving me the confidence to pitch my projects at MIFF [Melbourne International Film Festival] and most recently Clermont-Ferrand.”

“Being a part of the DEGNZ’s Incubator has been a highly motivating and encouraging experience. It is rare to get a chance to talk frankly with such experienced practitioners, but this programme created a space in which such useful dialogue could take place. The Incubator also provided regular meetings with other filmmakers at the same stage in their career.”
