Thanks to everybody who attended the Collaborators Series with the Screen Composers Guild of NZ – A Relationship Guide on Tuesday May 19.
One of the biggest take aways from the evening was that often, both directors and composers want their relationship to start earlier in the process, and both parties can benefit from collaborating right at the start of a project. So directors, don’t be afraid to reach out to a composer in the ideas stage of your next project! The sooner the better.
An extra big thank you to our wonderful panelists, Bruce Lynch, Marshall Smith, Briar March and moderator Roseanne Liang, for bringing some great ideas, experiences, wisdom and entertainment to the table.
The Collaborators Series – A Relationship Guide will be available for members to view online in the near future.
